Long Time No See.....

I certianly have not been idle since my last post! I have a new grand-baby on the way, a wedding in the works (my other daughter!), and a full time J.O.B. in addition to completing several items for swaps at the http://www.lifeonthescrapbeach.ning.com. With a couple of videos posted over there. My plans are to allow things to slow down so I can post pictures and videos of the cool items I have received and some I have made. A lot of my "free" time is made up of watching Kathryn on Ustream and Laura Dennison's channel as well. Now that I am "fully involved" in papercrafting, I've devoted little time to completing many of the painted items I've started, and quilts that need to finish! Yikes! Where does the time fly? Where ever that place is....I want to go there! I hope all had a great 4th of July weekend and happy crafting this week.

Hello Crafty friends. I have been soooo busy. Working a regular nine to five (I should say ten to seven) over nights! Also, watching every cool Ustreamer, Youtuber, and crafty blog I follow every day and some days for hours and hours. Yesterday was NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY and some pretty talented ladies hosted a Ustream hop. What a blast. Thanks Laura, Gina, Roxie, Youlie, and Kathryn. Beside all of that I have made a few cards using new methods that I haven't posted yet and I participated and am currently participating in some swaps at The Scrap Beach. I also did my very very first description video. Now I am here to try to post it! Wish me luck, something else new to do! LOL

After delivering all my recent cards and minis to a friend to take to an SDP meeting I'm home watching NASCAR Sprint Cup. Yep! I'm a lady of many interests! Also, my grand-daughter went to the movies for the first time to see Rio. Mommy and daddy said she did really well. Take a look at her after the movie day! She's only two! I will post the picture later. My tech Davy with this iPhone is limited!

Catch Up Day.....

Today, I'm posting pictures of the things I've worked on since April 3rd. Also, while I do this I'm forcing myself to watch "Buried Alive". It's scary! I don't feel like a horder, however, I have more craft stuff than a small store! Yikes!! So far though I can still get through my house but often can't find the "item" I want to use for the current project! Are there any sympathizers out there?
Anyway, here they are: two mini albums pattern by Laura Dennison. A card inspired by a Splitcoast stampers tutorial, and a card I created using a stamp from hero arts and a coffee collection of clear stamps I found at JoAnn Fabrics during a 40% sale.

This project was very difficult but the second one turned out better with less fix-its!

This one still needs a lot of embelishing but I am happy with it so far.

I don't do mornings until I've had my coffee!!

Hello, For the last couple of days I have done nothing but blog hop, Ustream classes, You tube techniques videos, and go into creative overload! Everybody I have visited or "sat in" on a live show is very talented. Very, and I have learned so much. There are three artists that stand out to me! Final Day of Total Freedom...

Tomorrow morning I must return to my 9-5. Today, I made a photo folder with Mariposa paper by DCWV. When I started collecting "things" to make cards and papercrafts, I bought value packs of precut and scored cards and envelopes from JoAnn Fabrics and Micheals. But lately, I have found papercrafting artists on all the wonderful blogs I'm visiting make their own card base with cardstock. I will too, eventually, but for now, I am using the precuts and covering them. Every card on my blog so far, I've made with value cards and will until they're gone. In the meantime, I'll be learning, learning, learning and most important of all, having a blast! Good evening and create good in your life and that of others.

Marching On To April....

It's strange that March is nearly gone already. Does time go faster when you get older or just when you have so much you want to do? Maybe both! Learning, this week, has been the key to what I have been up to. I am watching as many blog tutorials as I can locate and wow, it seems never-ending all the wonderful people out there willing to take the time to share their talents! I made another two cards this week. Actually one is more like a mini-album or mini-folder theatre and the other a Spring butterfly sparkle card. I hope you enjoy them. Unbelieveable! This day has flown by! I have spent hours blog hopping today and "like I love it!" In my day, that was called "Valley girl language!" Anyway, I spent the day getting inspiration and loading up on tutorials until my brain went into "Overload!" Just so much talent out there! You guys are awesome! I made three cards which I am sharing today Monday and Tuesday were play with paper day and the results are in! One has a disclaimer! It's the "Showtime" card I made for Sarah and Rick. It started out looking like a theatre curtian and when one dabbles until early hours in the morning, well if it still looks like a theartre curtian, it is a burlesque theatre to which the only thing needed to complete it is a "pole!"

Good Morning, I 'm slowing making progress creating cards for friends and family while I learn more about technique, design, and blogging. I'm posting as I make them mainly because in all my other artistic endevors I didn't really keep track so I don't have a visual of my improvement. Also, it's fun! I can incorporate my love for art and craft plus technology to which I am NO genius! So, at my age, it's all about fun! So here goes. My grand-daughter is two and she loves to get mail. This is Haylee's SUNshine card. She likes yellow.

Well, it was fun. I am new to card-making and papercrafts, but that didn't stop me from diving in, especially when it came to sales at Jo-Ann's and Micheal's. Holy cow, there's so much to choose from! Yikes! I'm posting a picture of the card I made for Aprils' husband. I used LeCreme paper, spell-binders scallop-square die, Crop-A-dile corner rounder tool, rubber stamps by Fiskars. All purchased at our local Jo-Ann's and the rounding tool online at Jo-Ann's. The inside has a pocket for a gift card. Happy Birthday Mark!

I enjoy learning new things, however, sometimes it can be frustrating and I am finding I can only fumble my way through this techy stuff. I need my daughter to do a lot of it for me and she is a thousand miles away! April, thank you for your help "fixing" my blog page! Sarah, good luck in your ongoing studies. Now, I will have to re-learn some writing techniques! I used to be a good writer.....years ago. Things have definately changed since those days!

I am excited about learning new things from Laura Denison of Following The Paper Trail. I am making an envelope mini that she demonstrates on You Tube and a lightbulb went off in my head! Have you ever had envelopes taht you have stored for awhile and have "sealed" themselves? Well, Florida is humid, and I used to throw them away! NOT ANYMORE! Check it out! Hello,
Here is my first attempt at blogging! Well, maybe not the first, but hopefully the first sucessful one! Years ago I wanted to learn about computers when they first became available for home use! I spent more time raising my two lovely daughters and crafting of some sort, oh yeah, and working at a J.O.B. Anything and everything has always interested me "hand-made" and I have tried nearly everything. If you can name it I probably have done it, tried it or still doing it! Just to mention a few, quilting, crocheting, cross-stitch, needlepoint, crewel embroidery, knitting, decorative painting, acrylic, oil, watercolor, scrapbooking, paper-craft, stained glass, pottery, sculpture, carving, doll-making, fabric painting and well I can't think of anymore right now, but, my point being, I love it. I am better at some than others, and can do some much better than others and of late, I am fasicnated with card-making and mini albums. So, I am spending hours watching, reading, and learning everything I can about this fun and rewarding endevor! So please stay-tuned my friends. I am on my way and hope to bring some fun stuff to you and help you meet some interesting people I have through the vast world of the Internet.
